The Council is currently preparing its annual budget for 2020-21 and is consulting on proposals to increase council tax by an annual average of £5.
Cllr Toby Morris, Cabinet Member for Resources, said “Every year we review our spending and our priorities can change – for example, this year we intend to plough more resources into tackling climate change.
“We want to know what residents consider to be the areas most important to them from recycling and waste to free parking and leisure provision.
“That way we can shape our Budget and spend on the areas that are most important to the majority of people while also continuing to be one of the most efficient councils in the country.”
The Council is also preparing an updated Council Plan which sets out its priorities over the next four years. This will be set against a backdrop of uncertainty concerning central government funding levels.
The consultation contains a proposal to increase council tax for residents by an average of £5 a year to ensure current service provision can be maintained and improved.
