ACTS

A.C.T.S (Aston and Cote Thespian Society) was formed in 1991 after the pantomime Cinderella was staged to help raise funds for St James' bell restoration fund.  Since then over 40 productions have taken place in the Village Hall, various village gardens with summer picnics and even on tour at the invitation of Burford Golf Club.

During the Covid pandemic and lockdown ACTS members resorted to radio plays on You Tube which gained good listening audiences.  We hope to be up and running again onstage in 2022.

Rehearsal night is Monday 7.30pm to 9.30pm in the Village Hall and the busiest time is usually September to January for the main winter production and April to June if there are plans for a summer show.

We're a lively, friendly group, work hard to please our loyal audience and share lots of laughs in the process.  While always welcoming aspiring actors, there are also plenty of opportunities, especially if you are creative and enjoy being part of the team, to work with the backstage crew from set building to lighting, sound, costume, make up, publicity or front of house.  Enthusiasm is more important than experience, so if any aspects of Am Dram appeal to you come and join us.  For more information contact Val Crowson on 01993 850139.
