 Aston Football Club

Aston Football club was formed in circa 1920 and has been running ever since apart from stoppages due to the war years and a one season break in the late 90's.

The first team play in the Witney and District Premier division and the reserves are currently plying their trade in division three, the club has embraced the nickname of the lions in homage to their HQ the Red Lion pub.  The last silverware was won in 2005 in the Junior Challenge Cup.

Home games are played ironically at what old Astonians would call the 'cricket field' despite cricket not being played for many years. This is the sportsfield adjacent to Aston village hall in Cote Road. Summer training is also hosted here and runs from Mid July through to late September every Tuesday and some seasons every Thursday also depending on interest.  Winter training varies.  Matches are played usually from the first Saturday in September and run right through to the first Saturday in May.

More information can be found on the football club
website:

We are always really keen for new players to join and get involved in the club, please contact club member (details to be added) via email,
and even if you want to get involved in a non-playing capacity then we are always hoping for extra help.
