Parish Council Meetings

The Parish Council usually meets on the first Thursday evening of the month, starting at 7.30pm.

Meetings are held in the Meeting Room of the Village Hall on Cote Road, Aston.

Members of the public are welcome to attend and observe the meeting.  There is a short section near the beginning of the meeting at which members of the public are invited to make representation on any issue affecting the parish. 

In addition to this, there is an annual meeting of the parish - the Annual Parish Meeting - which is not a meeting of the parish council, although it is organised by the parish council and chaired by the parish council chairman.  This meeting is held during April or May of each year.

Recording Public Meetings
The Openness of Public Bodies Regulations introduced by the Government in 2014 enables anyone to record a public council meeting, subject to the recording not causing a disruption to the meeting.  Aston, Cote, Shifford & Chimney Parish Council adopted a Protocol for Recording at Public Meetings on 4 September 2014, which members of the public are advised to read before attending a parish council meeting:
