Construction has started on the new housing development site in New Road, Bampton.
The Parish Council has been made aware that the routing agreement for the construction traffic agreed by Oxfordshire County Council is through Aston (via the Aston Mile, North Street, the High Street and Aston Road towards Bampton). The Parish Council was not consulted on the routing agreement before it was put in place.
In order to reduce the disruption to residents in Bampton, the routing agreement requires the vehicles not to arrive on site before 9.00am (ie., they should not be going through Aston before 8.45am) and to be off site by 2.00pm (ie., they should no longer be coming through Aston from Bampton after 2.15pm).
If you become aware that vehicles are breaching the agreement, it would be helpful if you could record the date, time, and number plate of the vehicle and send this through to Oxfordshire County Council at https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/cms/content/contact-oxfordshire-county-council If you are able to take a photograph on a device which captures the date and time on the image (not whilst driving), then that would provide even better evidence.
