"Up to 10,000 motorbikes are taking part in a ride through Oxfordshire from Dry Sandford to Carterton to pay respect to the brave Service men and women killed in Service and thank the towns for their care of our heroes and their families.
Now in its fifth year, the Ride of Respect 2014 is on Sunday 1 June from 9am to midday (approximately) and will raise vital funds for The Royal British Legion in support of our Armed Forces and their families.
Originally conceived in 2010 by two biker enthusiasts, and previously going through Royal Wootton Bassett, as with the 2013 event, the Ride of Respect will be through Carterton and Brize Norton."
The route passes through our parish, along the B4449 through Cote and Aston and onto Bampton.
There will be periodic road closures during the morning to enable the motorbikes to pass in groups.
